Alice's night / Alices nat

The sequence/series/linked form written by me and Giovanni Monte and published in the new issue of A Hundred Gourds (www.ahundredgourds.com) is here presented with a translation into Danish. Mmmh, but "translation" maybe isn't the right word. The whole thing was written in both languages simultaneously, but we submitted only the English version to Gourds ...









sinking into my skin a chain of yellow teeth


synker ind i min hud en kæde af gule tænder


days shorten a rattle of a chain from somewhere


dage bli'r kortere en raslen af en kæde fra et ubestemt sted


the first tinted leaves I'm a bone


de første farvede blade jeg er en knogle


ten billion cells hardly a language left


ti milliarder celler knap nok et sprog tilbage


as the turning point approaches a handshake


ligesom vendepunktet nærmer sig et håndtryk


small winds gather to larger ones the dog yawns


små vinde samles til en større hunden gaber
